About Alawneh Exchange

Alawneh Exchange has been in the business of money exchange and remittances since 1966. Through sustained efforts, the exchange house evolved from being a small exchange office to become a recognized and reputable business establishment well known in the Jordanian market as Alawneh Exchange with currently a network of 15 branches, more than 240 staff members dedicated to serve customers, extended working hours, and fully computerized counters
The history of Alawneh Exchange goes back to the year 1966 when an exchange office was initially founded by the late Mohammad Alawneh in Mafraq Governorate – Jordan. It was later moved to Irbid Governorate in 1970. It kept on being an exchange office until 1980, when Central Bank of Jordan requested all exchange offices to become registered companies, and by that it became Mohammad Alawneh and Sons Company.

Within the changes that occurred on the law of the Central Bank of Jordan which allows exchange companies to become companies of limited liabilities and have the freedom to open branches in the different governorates of Jordan, the administration of Alawneh Exchange and after obtaining the approval of the Central Bank of Jordan, proceeded to change the company from corporation ownership to limited liability with a capital money of 4.5 Million JOD and thirteen branches.
The administration of the company has the intention to expand its network to cover all governorates maintaining a leading position in the kingdom.
